When Underwire Just Wont Do!
Women ask me all the time…so what bra do you wear? I may be the ONLY owner of a bra business that does NOT own a bra, nor do I wear one.
Customers look at me quite perplexed and in wonderment, not quite knowing what to say this also encompasses the Bra Supplier Reps that call on Pampered Passions Fine Lingerie.
Its quite confusing, although it makes perfect sense and comfort to me, and many of our “Customer Converts” who do not wear underwire every single day.
If you are a AA,A or B cup you don’t have to wear underwire everyday of the week. If you are C cup up to a DD, there are bras that can be worn that do not have underwire for at least one day out of your week. The facts are these…..
It is not healthy to have underwire tightly worn every single day of the week under your arms and breast tissue. Some women even sleep in underwire which we do our best to correct and educate these women that non-underwire alternatives are plentiful these days.
There are also camisole alternatives with and without microfibre that are wonderful alternatives at least one day a week. Bodysuits as well, which is what I personally wear everyday. The microfibre camisoles from Arianne, Cosabella Shelf camisoles, and many other brands do exist.
I happen to be a “38ish Bish”. Before launching into the Lingerie Industry which was by “default”, I found myself personally challenged with fit and comfort. A sales lady at Vickie’s made me feel like an Alien from another planet being as she put it, I was “wide and shallow” with small “B” breasts. Wow, I felt like the feature at a freak show after this encounter!
Our 40 bandwidth ladies LOVE Pampered Passions Fine Lingerie. If you are a 40 bandwidth+ and you are a B, C or D, in particular camisoles are a wonderful thing for you. There are so many styles of camisoles to choose from including ones you can wear to work, under jackets, that also refine your midsection. When I am fitting a fuller figured women, I always take in a camisole. I show her this alternative, she pops it over her head or over her feet, and voila! She stares at herself in amazement in the mirror. Her “ladies” are up, her waist in thinner and she is feeling so unbelievably beautiful, like she never has before.
This is one of my favorite encounters, watching a woman see herself differently, feel confident and love herself just a little bit more, Ok, a lot more!

If you are typically lets say a size 36 go up to a size 38 with a purchase. Bustiers can be worn with or without garters, with pants, skirts and under jackets.

Behind the Scenes of Breast Cancer
I was compelled to write this blog with with the Holidays here with a vengeance. We hear so much about breast cancer and its survivors, but to work with these amazing clients day in and day out puts a different “spin” on your own perspective.
I am a Certified Mastectomy Fitter at Pampered Passions Fine Lingerie in Englewood, Colorado and have been working with breast cancer survivors for over eight years.
One day, I wasn’t feeling particularly “happy” with my own universe and had to work that day. My first three appointments were very profound and would change my life and perspective about my own personal troubles.
My first appointment was a woman who was thirty years old, pregnant, and with a three-year-old in tow. She was having a double mastectomy the following Monday and was being fitted for a Post Op Camisole. She was an amazing mother, and her courage overwhelmed me. Her spirit was such that she treated her ailment as a mere “inconvenience.” Life was going on and she planned to live it.
My second appointment was a sixty-five-year-old woman, financially destitute as she had a double mastectomy, many complications, and no insurance. Her life as we know it, the quality of anyway, is completely compromised from here on out and her life would never be the same. She said throughout the meeting with me that her life is what she makes of it, and she was going to make a difference however she might be able to for other survivors.
Lastly, a fourteen-year-old girl who had a breast removed and needed to be balanced out under her clothes. I see this wonderful, magical little girl every six months. She is amazing. She chides about only having one breast at her age. She has a confidence beyond my understanding. Wisdom beyond her years about her body and the “perception” of other people, especially in the girls’ locker rooms.
So needless to say, I was the one having a bad day, or so I thought. My issues after seeing the three clients who had appointments with me were so small. I call them “Paper Tigers.” Paper Tigers are ferocious and mean and eat you, but they are paper, invisible, and not really intimidating at all.
So the next time you go about your day and are upset with the “Paper Tigers” in your life, think twice if the issue is a real issue or just a Paper Tiger!

Pampered Passions Fine Lingerie heats up Hollywood with celebrity events

Your bra might fit great, but every woman’s body changes from one day to the next. If you have a bit of a gap in your bra, you can utilize something we call “cutlets” or cookies. These little friends are a very natural silicone ½ breast enhancement that can be placed under your breasts and will bump your breasts right up so you will gap no longer. You may need to take them out though, when your breast tissue is fuller at certain times of the month.

When Underwire is just too much, and you shouldn’t wear it everyday anyways if you can avoid at least a day a week with a good support Non-Underwire Bra. Even a Sports Bra that is Non-Underwire will do!
Spanx and Sassybax are must haves for any wardrobe! Available is Plus sizes, their camisoles are wonderful for everday and supportive, and Spanx makes a Bra called Brallelujah which is designed out of hosiery. Many of our customers even work out in this bra for comfort and support! Sassybax camis come in many fun colors to be worn under garments or as everyday wear.

Niki lingerie is out of the UK and its gorgeous, stylish and beautiful even in the support. Bras, knickers, support underwear, support with style. MMK is a new company out of the US that designs camisoles, ½ camisoles, thongs and briefs with support built right in. You still feel pretty and feminine as this brand has lace trim. Almost a “neoprene” like texture, surprisingly comfy, a wonderful line!
Its Nipple in Here!
Yes, ladies, when you don’t want your headlights to show here are a few options:
Pasties Flowers that can go over your nipples. Contours that go over your entire breast. NuBra, produced by a Mastectomy company, not the knock off, so it really sticks up to 80 wears. This gem comes in a silicone version, perfect to add a cup size to any bra A/B/C cup size recommended. Aprodite, which is a cloth versions that comes in AA-B cup. The Aphrodite has a bump pad so it gives the breasts a bump “A little something, something” is what we call it. The Featherlite, which is cloth as well A-D no bump pad just thin material. Nubra is not recommended for lift, just coverage and a bit of cleavage. Nubra comes with a clip to enhance the cleavage. Completely backless, perfect for low back dresses, wedding gowns, halter tops anything you might need coverage for. Lastly the Seamless Nubras are paper-thin coverage with no seams showing. The Nubra comes with a cleanser for about $10.00 which assists in the lifespan of the adhesive. You should never put any oils, perfumes, powder or lotions on your chest before you stick these on or it will wear down the adhesive. Many of the women that work with me still use their Nubras for enhancers in their bras when the adhesive no longer sticks!
Very Low Back/Strapless Dress
Many Bridal Gowns and Cocktail Dresses have this claim to fame. DD+ ladies are especially challenged with this dilemma. Many bustiers are low enough in the back to wear under this type of a scenario. Bustiers from Felina, LeMystere, and VaBien are some of the finest examples for lift and support. You can also be fitted with a bra that can be lowered in the back and ties around the front, this is called a “convertible bra”. A strapless bra or camisole can be a perfect if the dress is at “bra level”.
Halter bras can be a wonderful answer to just that extra bit of support as your straps can tie behind your neck for additional support. Many of the bras that have arrived on the market this year can be worn multiple ways. Your basic way, strapless, T-Back, or Halter. This is a must have for any ladies wardrobe!
Forever New/Stain Remedy

Sloping Shoulders
Many women have sloping shoulders and it’s a daily ritual to be pulling your bra up over your shoulders almost as irritating as the women that works next to you, blows her nose! There is a couple magical things that can be done:

Your body changes, why buy a new bra:
So your body has changed a bit and your bra is brand new. The bandwidth is a bit tight and you don’t know what to do. We have an extender that you can place on the back of your bra strap that allows you extra “wiggle-room”. What if you have lost weight and the bandwidth is too big, tailor the bra in the bandwidth.
